Reading, UK – 22 March 2026 – The Green Park Reading Half Marathon and Mini Marathon returned in spectacular fashion this weekend, delivering what many are calling the most memorable event in its history. With over 8,000 runners crossing the finish line, the day was a powerful celebration of community spirit, determination, and charitable impact.

Starting amid the scenic surroundings of Green Park, participants of all abilities set off on a course that showcased the very best of Reading. From seasoned athletes chasing personal bests to first-time runners embracing the challenge, the event brought together an inspiring mix of individuals united by a shared goal.

The atmosphere throughout the route was nothing short of electric. Crowds lined the streets of Reading town centre, offering unwavering encouragement and creating a wave of energy that carried runners forward. Nowhere was this more evident than at Russell Street, where the now-famous party atmosphere proved to be a highlight, with music, entertainment, cheering supporters, and an unmatched sense of celebration.

The final stretch into the stadium delivered an emotional and triumphant conclusion, as thousands of runners were welcomed across the finish line by roaring applause. For many, it was a moment of personal achievement; for others, a shared experience that will not soon be forgotten.

The 2026 Green Park Reading Half Marathon delivered an outstanding display of athletic excellence, with elite runners producing impressive performances across both the men’s and women’s fields.

In the men’s race, Rob Corney claimed victory with a remarkable time of 01:06:47, setting a strong pace from the outset. Close behind, Patrick Roddy secured second place in 01:07:16, followed by Ville Lehtoniemi, who completed the podium with a time of 01:08:40.

The women’s race was equally competitive, with Kate Estlea-Morris taking top honours in 01:14:55 after a commanding run. Katie Brown finished in second place with a time of 01:17:21, while Alice Braham rounded out the top three, crossing the line in 01:18:04.

These exceptional performances highlight the high calibre of competition at this year’s event and continue to cement the Green Park Reading Half Marathon’s reputation as one of the UK’s premier running events.

A key part of the event’s success was the extraordinary contribution of volunteers. From course marshals to water station teams, hundreds of dedicated individuals gave their time and energy to ensure the day ran smoothly and safely.
