Goldline Events acquires The Amazing Northampton Run
Experienced event organiser takes ownership of Northampton’s popular town-centre running event, with plans to build on its strong community foundations
Northampton, October 2026 – Goldline Events, the event company behind the Robin Hood Half Marathon and Green Park Reading Half Marathon, has acquired The Amazing Northampton Run, marking an exciting new chapter for one of Northamptonshire’s established running events.
The Amazing Northampton Run has grown significantly since its move to a town-centre format, bringing runners and spectators into the heart of Northampton and showcasing the town’s landmarks, parks, sporting venues and community spirit.
The event currently features a half marathon, three-person half marathon relay and 3-mile fun run, with the 2026 event taking place on Sunday 13 September.
Goldline Events takes over the organisation of the event with a commitment to build on the success and foundations created by Simon and his team, while bringing its experience of delivering large-scale road races and developing memorable experiences for runners of all abilities.
Judith Manson, Race Director of Goldline Events, said:
“We’re incredibly excited to be bringing The Amazing Northampton Run into the Goldline Events family. It is a brilliant event with a real sense of identity and, importantly, a strong connection with the town and its community.
“We know how much work, passion and commitment goes into creating a successful event, and Simon and his team have built something that Northampton can be proud of. Our aim is to take those strong foundations and build on them, creating an even bigger and better experience for runners, spectators, volunteers, charities and the wider community.
“We love events that get people moving and give people a reason to come together, and The Amazing Northampton Run fits perfectly with what we do. We’re really looking forward to getting to know the Northampton running community and working with our partners to take the event forward.”
Simon Hollis, of The Amazing Northampton Run, said:
“The Amazing Northampton Run has been a hugely rewarding event to develop over the past few years. We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved and of the way the event has become part of Northampton’s sporting and community calendar.
“Goldline Events is a great fit for the next stage of the event. Judith and the team have considerable experience of delivering successful mass participation races, and we’re confident they will bring fresh energy and expertise while respecting what makes The Amazing Northampton Run special.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has supported the event, our runners, volunteers, charities, sponsors, partners and the local community and we’re excited to see where Goldline takes it next.”
The event has established strong links with Northampton’s community, with previous editions attracting thousands of runners and supporters to the town centre. The route passes a number of Northampton landmarks and sporting venues, while the event also supports local charities and encourages community involvement.
Goldline Events will now begin preparations for the 2027 Amazing Northampton Run, with further details about entries, the event experience, charity partnerships and opportunities to get involved to be announced in due course.
Judith Manson added:
“There is a huge amount of potential here. We want The Amazing Northampton Run to remain an event that Northampton feels belongs to the town, while giving runners a fantastic reason to put it in their diary year after year. We can’t wait to get started.”
